01Is WordPress more expensive than Squarespace?
The build cost is usually similar. WordPress costs more to own, because updates and security are your responsibility rather than the platform's. Budget for maintenance or accept that it will drift.
02Can I edit a WordPress site myself?
Yes, and you should be able to. If a quote does not include a usable editing setup and a walkthrough, ask why. Being unable to change your own text means paying someone for typos.
03Do I need a page builder?
Not always. WordPress has a capable built-in editor now. Builders add flexibility and add lock-in. Ask what the site would look like without one before agreeing to it.
