Hire a landing page designer

A landing page has one job. Everything on it either helps someone take that action or gets in the way.

Landing pages are the fastest and cheapest thing to commission — usually one to two weeks and a fraction of a full site — because the scope is genuinely narrow.

What makes one work

  • One goal. A page asking people to do three things converts worse than three pages asking one thing each.
  • The offer above the fold. What it is and what it costs, without scrolling.
  • Proof near the ask. Reassurance where the hesitation happens, not buried at the bottom.
  • A short form. Every extra field loses people. Ask only what you will actually use.
  • Speed. Paid traffic to a slow page wastes the ad spend.

What to agree before it is built

  • Where the traffic comes from. A page for cold ad traffic reads differently from one for an email list.
  • Where the form goes. An inbox someone reads, a CRM, or a spreadsheet.
  • Whether copy is included. On a landing page the words matter more than anything, so this is the question to settle first.
  • How it is measured. Agree what counts as a conversion before launch.

Common questions

01How much does a landing page cost?

Typically £500 to £2,000 in the UK and $650 to $2,500 in the US, depending mostly on whether copy and imagery are included. See what a website costs for context.

02How long does one take?

One to two weeks is normal, and it can be faster if the copy and offer are already settled. The design is rarely the slow part.

03Do I need a whole site as well?

Not to run a campaign. A single page with a clear offer can work on its own. A full site becomes worthwhile when people want to research you before buying.
